Get your name in lights

Enter ICELE's great new awards!
We don't know about you, but we are bowled over by the amount of amazing eProjects that are delivered by passionate people up and down the country. But it's a lot more than just doing the projects, what counts is the impact the projects have on real people's lives. So we felt it was about time we celebrated your achievements and demonstrated just how eProjects can and do help!

We want to show how, whilst to some an online project may seem 'a waste of time', or 'out of reach', if done well, and targeted at the right people that they can have far reaching impact. We want all councils to recognise that from helping young carers to find vital support and advice, to preventing the cutting of major local services, online projects are becoming a vital part of many people's lives.

So, if you've been involved in an e-project you are really proud of and can demonstrate how it's really changed local people's lives we want to hear from you? Or if you have been really impressed by the way one of your councillors has engaged with local people online and made a real difference, tell us about it!

All you need to do is fill in an easy online form and we'll do the rest, and who knows your project could be 'up in lights' next year!

The top awards are being given out in three categories:

Organisation eParticipation

ePolitician

eMinister

(Please note: In addition to these two awards the minister will also look at the final short listed group and select another project they feel deserves to be highly commended and therefore that project will receive a Ministerial Award)

Don't forget to get your votes in soon as the deadline for entries are 28th January 2008!

The awards will be given out at a Gala Drinks Event at next year's top conference - the International eParticipation Symposium. To find out more visit www.empowerment-symposium.com
