VOICE is an easy-to-use web publishing tool packed with loads of features from an events calendar, to a survey builder, to an FAQ module www.e-voice.org.ukIt costs on average £3,000 a year, and once you've bought it you can offer it to all your local groups (no maximum amount) free of charge. Simple websites can be built by community groups in a couple of hours and are really easy for people with little or no technical skills to maintain and update. VOICE websites also get automatically added to a national directory of community groups free of charge.
As part of the package you'll also receive full training from the VOICE team and a series of guides www.e-voice.org.uk/voiceusers VOICE is an ideal tool for web, communications, community development, or library teams to lead on. On average it takes between one-hour and one-day a week to monitor, depending on the number of community groups who sign up in your area. This includes promoting VOICE to community groups, signing groups up to the system and providing quick training sessions.
